_module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h1><strong>JUNIOR LIFEGUARDING COURSE, NOVEMBER &amp; JANUARY<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>The Junior Lifeguarding Course is designed for ages 11-14.<\/strong> This course focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills of future lifeguards. <strong>This 8 class, 32-36 hour<\/strong> <strong>lesson plan<\/strong> includes focused time developing swimming skills and practicing in-water rescues. <strong>All participants MUST demonstrate the following prerequisite skills in order to participate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Front crawl for 25 yards continuously while breathing to the front or side.<\/li>\n<li>Swim the breaststroke for 25 yards using a pull, breathe, kick and glide sequence.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the Water Competency Sequence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The program is 2 sessions and participants must attend both sessions to receive their certification.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost:<\/strong> $350 for the full enrollment (8 Saturdays &#8211; 4 in November and 4 in January)<br \/><strong>Dates:<\/strong> November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd.
