Let’s meet our Member of the Month at Active at NorthBay Health, Viana Lara. Viana has been a member at Active since December of 2023 and this is her first gym membership! She<\/span> loves the group fitness classes, where everyone is so supportive of each other, both members and instructors. She feels fortunate to be part of not only an awesome facility but also a great community of members and staff.<\/span><\/p>\n Viana is motivated to #LiveActively so she can enjoy her retirement years with strength and mobility. Over the past few years, she has learned how important self-care is for the mind, body, and soul. Being at Active Wellness Center has definitely increased her self-care routine. Turning 60 this year, she hopes to inspire someone and prove that it’s never too late to start! <\/span>Her journey has been life-changing. Viana began by increasing her mobility in the pool and gradually added group fitness classes. She says the instructors make the classes fun and engaging, meeting participants where they are, no matter their fitness level, and leaving them feeling better than when they walked in the doors.<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to her fitness journey, she loves spending quality time with her family, including her pups. She also enjoys doing genealogy and astrology. A fun fact about her is that she delivered mail for 35 years, with 30 of those years spent in the great community of Vacaville.<\/span><\/p>\n Now retired, she enjoys coming to the gym to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. She also hopes to travel again, with destinations like Mexico and Hawaii on her list. There are many people she would love to meet in person, both in the U.S. and across the globe.<\/span><\/p>\n We love supporting Viana and our other members in their wellness journey and goals!
